Welcome to
St Sidwell's Church of England Primary and Nursery School
St. Sidwell’s CE Primary School and Nursery is a one-form entry Church of England Primary school, in the heart of Exeter. It caters for children from age 3 to age 11.
This week in their ‘squiggle while you wiggle’ session, our Nursery children practised making anti-clockwise circles. They used scarves first to make large anti-clockwise circles in the air & then they drew anti-clockwise circles on a chalkboard. ✍🏻 pic.twitter.com/5RdRWe41rk— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) March 10, 2025

Year 3 have been scientists this afternoon investigating the properties of different rocks. They conducted an experiment asking whether the rocks were dense, durable and porous. 🪨 @stchris_trust #findingthelight #flourishingcommunities pic.twitter.com/xHOH4xnJ6V— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) March 10, 2025

First time visit to @stsidwellsce as part of @stchris_trust vocabulary project. What a lovely, vibrant learning environment and the new library - wow! Thanks for making me so welcome and showing the shoots of something amazing in developing vocabulary and oracy across the school. pic.twitter.com/D6VmR3upt9— Chris Conners (@1curiouslearner) March 9, 2025

In RE, Year 1 have been learning about the parable of the lost son. They made hidden meaning story boxes. On the outside, they showed the story that Jesus told & inside, they wrote what Jesus wanted people to learn about God. #findingthight #flourishingcommunities @stchris_trust pic.twitter.com/31H8MjO2fd— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) March 4, 2025

Today, our Nursery children talked about tree bark. They used their eyes to look at the different bark and then used their hands to feel how different they were. They then used wax crayons and paper to make bark rubbings. @stchris_trust #findingthelight #flourishingcommunities pic.twitter.com/2Uz9cjqV2J— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) March 4, 2025
